Dressage breeches are traditionally bright white although you may be able to wear breeches or jodhpurs in light colours including cream or beige. Breeches are more comfortable then jodhpurs for dressage as they do not rub under the long boots. The most popular style of breeches are 'full seat' or '3/4 seat' breeches which have a suede leather seat running down to the bottom of the legs, helping the rider 'stick' to the saddle. Another consideration is the choice of material as no stains are allowed; therefore a material which can be washed and dried quickly and is stain resistant is essential.
